Yesterday, I went to campus to attend International Seminar that held by Muhammadiyah University English Course Organization. The rain rained, so, my mother gave me an umbrella to protect me from the rain. I saw the sky, it was dark and cloudy but I kept my intent to go to the campus to attend tat agenda.

After I arrived at the campus, I walked to Auditorium to register my name. I saw my friend Ika and Didi. Ika and Didi are loyal to their organization. They skipped their class and attended the agenda to be a committee. The other committee and participants knew them by their name and asked for their instruction.

I entered the room. There were many participants in the room. I sat in the middle of the room. I saw three persons that will be speakers in the seminar. They were Mr. Mark Woodward, Mr. Bernard Adeney and Mr. Al Makin. They came from UGM and UIN Yogyakarta. Moderator was conducted by Mrs. Dewi Candraningrum, my lecturer in the English Department.

I enjoyed the seminar although I was so tired. The seminar has good theme, “Islamic Education, Culture and Globalization at the 21st Century: Indonesian Context”. Each speaker delivered their explanation about Islamic education, culture and pluralism in Indonesia. They made good statement, but just a little one understood it because they used English as their medium language. Of course, that’s International Seminar. While they explained their explanation, I prepared some question to be asked to them. I read the chapter that contained several things I didn’t understand.

After the speakers had discussed the theme, moderator invited some participants to ask to the speakers. I raised my hand in order to get chance to make some questions. Fortunately the moderator pointed me to deliver my question. I asked my question to Mr. Adeney about correlation between Islamic education and culture and the implementation of it. Although I was not fully prepared, I asked well, and the speaker complimented me on my question. I felt happy for being participant. I followed the seminar from which I got very much benefit from it.

One Day in Gramedia

Yesterday is a free day for me. There was no class on that day. I decided to go out from my boarding house to get new atmosphere. Felt away from boredom, tiredness and stress. I like travelling and reading, so I decided to go to Gramedia Bookstore, my favorite place.

Gramedia is a nice, big, and large bookstore. Many books available there. There are textbooks, novels, magazines and many more. I looked for my favorite book, Ranah 3 Warna, the series of Negeri 5 Menara Trilogy, but I didn’t find it. When I was confused, the bookmaker came to me. He is tall, black and handsome. He asked me what I looked for and guided me to find the book. He did his work quickly, carefully and efficiently. I like Fuadi’s book than Kang Abik’s book. I read the opened book in the reading area.

I like this book because it’s motivating and inspiring. Alif, the major character in this book taught me about the pursuit of dream. We have to reach our dream as we can. Make impossible to be possible. He can speak English, Arabic, and French. He had succeeded because of his had work and because of his intelligence. He is not only smart but also diligent. I want to be like him. I know that beginning is more difficult than continuing. So, I want to reach my dream start by now.

I'm Waiting For Your Promise

The sun goes down. I stand in ashore. I can imagine you in my mind. The very sweet moment happened here. How could it be? I don’t know what I feel now. I run too quickly to catch you. Oh…how fool I am, that’s not you, just my illusion. I think I start to mad.
I often go here to find you. Last year, when we stood on here you promised that you would come back here. I found you in tears. What happened with you? And why I felt so sad at that time? Felt that you wouldn’t come back again. No, it’s just my sentimental feeling, no more, I said. But, until now, I haven’t found you yet. Where you’re gone my charming prince? Didn’t you know that I always waiting for you here? The flying kite it’s a proof that you never come back.
I ignored the feeling that he is a liar. No, no, no. He never tells lie to me. He always keeps his promise. By using my heart I can say that he is an honest man. That’s why I love him. But it’s different from usual. He kept out his promise. Please, don’t make me sad. I have to make you come here. I’m bored waiting your promise. I must finish my episode before night. I see myself running across the sea. Yeah, I stand in the middle of sea. Waiting what will be happened. Get your promise or meet the death.
